Livingstone, Zambia is famous as the home of the world's largest waterfall, Victoria Falls.
But while the region draws more than one million tourists a year from around the world, most local families only earn a few dollars a day.
Play It Forward provides year-round funding for the music program at the Tongabezi Trust School, a private school in the village of Simonga, just outside Livingstone.
Play It Forward's funding covers costs for instruments and a year-round teacher for roughly 300 children from pre-school through the 12th grade.
This summer Play It Forward founder Sasha Perskie returned to Zambia to teach four courses a day to about 50 children.
Students were given instruction in piano, guitar, singing and songwriting.
Sasha and the students also wrote several original songs together, then performed them at a concert for the community.
Sasha directed the concert on the final day of her visit and made plans to return again next June!
